Summary of course
The course is to assist all persons attending the course to gain better understanding of the phrases and methods used in writing risk assessments and benefit from the practicable writing up of risk assessments, to enable them to demonstrate an increase understanding when called upon to write own risk assessments.
Subjects dealt with will include
The course will cover the types of risk assessment which can be used and the health and safety regulations that require the writing of risk assessments to be carried out. Typical areas of learning will be in the difference between generic and specific risk assessments, the hierarchy of controls that form an essential part of the risk assessment build-up and actions to take when presenting the final document to others.
Learning tools
No prior learning is required to attend this course. The tools to be used are those associated with power point presentation, video and course practicable sessions in writing own risk assessments.
Conclusion of course:
On successfully passing the course practicable and question paper at end of the course, each person will be awarded with a certificate, which can be used to show course attendance, subjects learnt. The certificate is valid for 2 years from date of attendance.
